185 Park Street is a tapestry of modern design burrowed in the streets of Central London.

The contemporary design of the two residential apartment towers are rounded out by EZ Concept systems architectural systems. Accented by warm colouring and understated detailing, the apartments boast exceptional interior design. Located in a clustered neighbourhood, efficient use of space is an important consideration in the functional design of a studio living space. In much the same way, aesthetic spaciousness is important in defining the character of the space. With the elimination of architraves in door and access panel openings, EZ Concept systems formed the basis for the lavish modern visuals.

A LIVELY AND COLOURED LIVING SPACE

The black and gold features throughout are contrasted by the soft cool colouring of the apartments’ otherwise pale green palette. Permitting this effect to carry weight is the subtlety of openings cast across the green walls. Riser doors all along the main hallway camouflage into their surroundings indebted to their architrave-free frames. These are AccessDor Standard Riser Doors specified to the Building Standards of the complex. Certified with a Fire Rating of up to two hours as well as an Acoustic Rating of up to 36dB, each riser door also fulfilled security needs with Euro Profile 3 Point Locking Systems. Complete with beaded frames, the riser doors blend into the wall face to leave hallways as orderly passages uninterrupted by servicing requirements. Both single and double doors were supplied, all of which were primed – ready for site decoration.

PRACTICALITY IS PRIORITY

The functionality of the apartment spaces are elevated by a newfound spaciousness. Creating this visual space came with the EzyJamb Single Rebate framing of the Utility Room in each apartment floor. Similar to the Riser Doors, each Utility Room opening forms a continuous current as they are painted in the same finish as the surrounding walls. The frames in this specific application met the unique requirements laid out in the client’s brief and were delivered pre-primed. The gauge of the frames were adjusted to suit the narrow wall openings all whilst addressing the client’s budgetary limits. Frames ranged to suit doors 800-924mm wide upon request, to suit a standard height door of 2040mm. Being able to frame in these slender spaces enabled the straight-forward build. The off-site pre-constructed utilities were craned in and installed in their cavity spaces before EZ Concept delivered the custom frames to conceal this space. The final look does away with the untidiness of such utilities spaces in favour of muted door openings.

A DETAILED DESIGN

Each apartment’s ornate visual is established by timber décor and a suitable collection of art pieces. Setting the scene for these visual centrepieces are the modestly elegant architectural details complementing them. Both standard and riser doors aesthetically highlight the defined lines of the apartments’ modern look. Reinforcing this is the gold blush of the fine detailing seen throughout each space. RocYork Concealed Hinges contribute with a satin brass bespoke finish to match in with the other specified hardware. Serving to accompany the consistent coloured detailing of the space whilst open and to hide itself whilst closed, obscured by the door.
